Christmas

Santa is showing off the finish Auction scarf. I love how this turned out. BunkyBobo's merino sock yarn.

Red and Green Center Squares. One for MB and one for me. BunkyBobo's Worsted, Pattern from knitty.
There are more of these hats but I sent them off before pictures. Maybe I will get pics after the holiday.

As for the rest of the holiday gifts I have added one hat to the list but I will make it no problem. I love that feeling. I wonder how long before I decide to add something else?

How Green is my Gansey

The green gansey socks are done! 2 nd sock took forever nut they are done and I love them. I had meant to give these away but I just can't part with them. The yarn is Dream in Color Smooshy colorway Happy Forest. Pattern is Lighthouse Gansey Socks by Anne Hansen. When I knit the first sock I put the heel in the wrong place. The lighthouse part should be on the front of the sock rather than the side. I repeated the mistake on the other sock so its all good.

In other knitting: I picked up the RMLC blanket again today and worked on the first boarder. I want to get this out of the way before I start the rest of the christmas knitting.

Tubey

Here is the Tubey sweater. I like it. It fits pretty well. I think a light blocking is in order. I made the xs size but added a bit of length to the body and left out the bell sleeve. If I ever knit another one I think I would do the ribbing on the sleeves as well.

Most of the new colors are up in the shop. The rest will go up today.

Socks for Dad

Here are Dads socks. This colorway is so hard to get a good photo of. The yarn is BMFA Socks That Rock. The colorway is Rauen form the Raven line. I have found that my STR socks grow a little with washing. These fit Hubby fine so fitting Dad should be no problem. You know the theroy that us girls Marry a guy much like our father? Well I did. Hubby and Dad have the same shoe/sock size.

I have started a new pair of socks already. The Lighthouse Gansey socks for Knitty. It is a fun pattern but slow going for me. I have to keep looking at the chart. So far so good. The pattern is well written and easy to follow. More on those when there is something to show.

My other projects are all moving forward. The new neck warmer should be done this week and then back to the muff. I resolved the gauge issue. I am pleased.

Ravelry has lost my name

I tried to see where I was on the waiting list and to my dismay I was not on the list! I tried to add myself but the website just keeps turning and nothing happens! boo hoo! I so want to check it out! I did read on their blog that Ravelry will be up in about 5 weeks. I think I am just going to have to wait like everyone else. Its not like I have time to upload all my stuff, but I want to see what all the hub bub is about. I just keep telling myself "You can wait."
in other news: The waving lace sock goes on slowly and Tubey has half a body. I had to order more yarn because I have decided not to do the stripes on the body. I also ordered some yarn for a new project I am planing. I really need to start planing my holiday knitting...
oh and I signed up for the Knitty Kal. I need to pick a project, I think a sweater for MG...maybe Light Bright

WIP's

I have in fact been knitting lately I just haven't posted any pics. So here they are: First up is Hubby's WCEP hat. I have finished 3 repeats of the pattern and am ready to do the crown

Next is Thuja sock from Knitty. This is the New York Yarn. I love the spiral effect I am getting. We will see what happens when I do the heel.

And last up is Tubey also from Knitty. I am almost done with the first sleeve. I plan to finish the sleeve and then finish up the hat when the MK's are asleep.

Irish Hiking Scarf

Center Square redux

So I wanted to have another go at Center Square from Knitty. I love the purple and have worn it on many cold days but I was un happy with the fit. The gauge was wrong. A smaller neddle and now I have the hat I wanted. It needs a little blocking but as you can see I have solved the gauge problem. It fits perfectly.

Still waiting to here from SP10... can't wait. as soon as I here I will be posting my questionaire.
