A new scarf for Bunky

Top pic is before we got her hair cut. See the bangs? Bunky cut those herself. 2nd pic is finished scarf and post hair cut. This cut always looks super cute on her. Scarf is the Batkus pattern again. Yarn is ON line Supersocke that GAL got me last summer. Yeah for machine washable! I knit this pattern before out of Wollmeise. I love that scarf. Gave it to Mom. It will be a great addition to her wardrobe this fall. This means I need to make a new one for me so I cast one on in Dream in Color Smooshy. Hubby saw this and said " oh is that for My moms birthday? She would love that color." Guess I will be making at least 2 more of these. I don't mind too much. Mil loves her hand knits and this is a super easy pattern.

New yarn and stuff

These 2 skeins were dyed in the same pot at the same time and they came out so different. I love kettle dyeing. You dump everything in the pot and see what you get. So fun. It does make it hard to get skeins that come out the same but that is half the fun. I have 2 more colors drying right now and my sock yarn should be here very soon.

We are having a great time over there and people really love their boxes. I am very excited to be a little part of this group of artist. Bunky helped me get all the lip balms in their little bags with the cards and such. She love to help with the shop whenever she can. I let her pick a new flavor for BunkyGirl Lip Balm. Root Beer Float anyone? We will be making those for summer.

I seem to have castonits I cast on for a sweater. Tubey from Knitty. I started this sweater before but frogged it because I didn't really like the black yarn I was using. This time I am using Patons Classic Merino from Michael's. I like this yarn. Sturdy and soft enough for a fitted sweater. I knit the back and 6" of sleeve last night while catching up with the dvr.

Idol? Meh... maybe it will get better?

Hubby and I watched the New HBO Doc Right America: Feeling Wronged. The filmmaker is Nancy Pelosi's daughter,Alexandra. People really say anything to someone with a camera. I wonder if any of them regret it now.

Also Heroes, getting very interesting. no spoilers from me.

And Bill Mahr is back tonight. Good sleeve knitting tv.

Holiday sock kits

In knitting news: MG took the Squared Mitts I finished the other day. She grabbed them the minute they came off the needles and has had them on since so I guess they are a hit. I need to make myself a pair. The new neck warmer pattern is coming along. This one will fit an adult human and not get bunched up under a coat. I am not crazy about the color though so I may try to over dye it when its finished. I hope to get it done today. The December bride muff had to be frogged. The gauge was way off so that one is back to the drawing board. There are new socks in the works too but that will have to wait. I have a play date with Monster Boy.

So here it is ready for shipping. Bunky Girl Lip balm. I have 2 flavors listed in the shop right now with more coming today. All flavors are Bunky Girl approved. In case you hadn't guessed Bunky Girl is MG. (MB is Bobo). There will be some other products in the Bunky Girl line down the road. I want to do a bunch of things for girls Bunky's age. The soap and bubble bath from the party was such a big hit I am going to do some for the shop as soon as I sell some yarn. Speaking of yarn. I am putting up the fall listings over the next 2 days.
