St Crispin's Day
I really like it. I was playing with some of my favorite colors for lighting shows. I was thinking of Henry V. Rich red and oranges of dawn on the battlefield breaking through the foggy damp of night. The hero raises his sword and rouses his troops for battle. It is a very famous speech. I heard is again in an ad for a video game. Funny how the muse works.
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he today that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition:
And gentlemen in England now abed
Shall think themselves accursed they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day. (IV, iii)
In other news the wonderful Ms. B is spinning the fiber I dyed for her. It looks so pretty.
