Update

Bunch of random stuff today.

I am almost done with the shop update. I need a few more pictures and we have a thick fog here today.

I have a bunch of new colorways and a new bunch of fabrics to destash. These are mostly vintage wools from the old costume shop. Really nice stuff. I also got a swap package in the mail. I need to get pictures of it. Thanks Allison! Happy Fall.
Here is Monster Boy with the Estes Scarf. He's a Knight! He loves to play with the helmet. It's huge on him. Think he can take the Black Knight?
As for the scarf. I wear it all the time. It goes with everything and isn't too heavy. Perfect for fall. It has also grown about 6" in length.
Knitting wise I finished my brothers Christmas gift. One more checked off the list. I am almost finished with the FIB socks. When those are done Dad's socks are next. I'm using Socks That Rock in one of the Raven colors. Yeah! I need a non sock project for tv watching. I am thinking about a blanket for Jenny who is getting married around Christmas. This would mean buying yarn, but I know Jenny would really treasure something like that. Hmm have to think on that one. I want a soft washable wool. Right now I am thinking about some kind of square with the date and names knitted around the edge, then a nice border.
Oh in case you didn't notice I changed my name of Ravelry to Bunkybobo to make it easier to find me and my yarns.

A Sleep Over Birthday

Here is MG at her birthday party. Boy did she have fun. The girls stayed up all night. (I am not kidding about this. All Night.) As you can see they had great fun with the makeup kit one of the girls brought. The other picture is the little party favors I made up for the girls. They were a big hit. You can not believe the amount of noise three 8 year old girls can make. I finally got them to settle down around 5:15 am. They were all up by 7:00 wanting breakfast. Ah to be 8.

Here is one of the new skeins. I am still working out colorway names for next weeks update. I have also been playing with over dyes. These are coming out so well I am thinking of doing a whole bunch of them. More soon.

Malabrigo Poncho

Here is the poncho. Yarn is Malabrigo worsted in the Stone Chat colorway. I used about 2.5 skeins of yarn. I really like it. I never really even considered ponchos before MG asked for one. I really like it. I think I will use it a lot this fall. MG tried to clam it but as the yarn was a gift to me from GAL its mine. The color is close here.

Now I need to decide what to knit next. Or maybe finish one of the other projects I have going.

Remember to check out the shop (link in sidebar) everything must go.

Shop News.

On Tuesday 09/24/08 I am going to pull everything out of the shop to make way for new yarns. The new yarns will be priced a little higher due to increased cost. Sorry about that but it won't be huge. Shipping will go up as well. It just can't be helped. So you have from right now until next Tuesday to grab whats left. these colorways won't be back anytime soon. Check it out here.
The new stuff is really pretty(if I do say so myself! hehehehe) You will be seeing it soon. There is also a new product in the works. I am pretty happy with it and I think you will be too.

September, 11

As a kid I remember grown ups telling me they remember where they were and what they were doing when they found out JFK had been killed. I have had my share of these moments in my life. September,11,2001 is one of those days. I left work early that day, worried that buildings in my hometown of Chicago would be next. I also remember thinking we would get Bin Laden for sure this time. I remember thinking that the day was a game changer, never would life in America be the same.but I had no idea the cost to our society would be so high. I had no idea that civil liberties and basic human rights would be thrown out. I had no idea people would use the memory of that day to try to make us live in fear.
I hope today we all remember the fallen, and the brave Men and Women who answered the call. Let it be a day of remembrance not a day of fear. Let us remember that we all came together that day as one people, united to say we will not live in fear, we will not change the things we believe in, We will not change who we are. We are all Americans. We are all citizens of the world.
