I heart NY

So I am home. I had a great time in NYC. The dealer training I went to wasn't too awful and I met some really cool people. There is knitting and yarn news but I sort of deleted the pics before I got them on the pc. I am not sure how that happened I will take new ones. That will come later.

I spent a lot of Sunday finding a knitting cafe I had found on line, having lunch (yum)and buying yarn. There will be more on this next time. Sunday night I met a friend for dinner At Mustang Sally's on W 28th ST. The food was good and so was the wine. We talked, ate, drank wine and made ourselves merry for a while. Sunday was a good New York day.

Monday it rained. A lot. All day. It was not raining when I left the hotel to walk to NYU (about 20 minutes). I got wet. Oh well shit happens. The day was filled with dealer stuff and products that I sell everyday. I new cool thing but kinda boring. I had dinner with 3 gals from the dealer and they paid. It was lovely. They were going to a show I didn't want to see so I walked to Times square and got a ticket to Spamlot for the next night. A pretty good New York day.

Tuesday the weather was perfect. A lovely walk to NYU and another day of stuff. A nice dinner with some folks from Chicago. Then a Broadway show. I loved it. There is no place like Broadway. The sheer mass of humanity is a thing to behold. I saw people from all over the world, all in awe of each other and the city around them. I had a about an hour to wonder around Times Square and take it in. I didn't take a lot of pictures I just took it in. I loved every minute of it was entertaining. A street vendor asked me how I was:

"fine" I say

" I know you're fine Baby I asked how you doing"

Gotta love that.
And then:

I gotta tell you this is the funniest show I have seen in a long time. I laughed so hard I cried. If you are a Monty Python fan like myself you must see this show. You won't be sorry. You will find your self in the room with John Cleese for every performance. You will meet The Black Knight, Not Dead Fred, Prince Hubert, and Tim the Enchanter along with all of the Knight of the round table and the King himself. I could go on and on but you will just have to get there.

All in all a good trip. There will be knitting soon...

I'm glad you had a great time in NYC. I'm not a huge Monty Python fan, but I've been known to enjoy them at their best in the Holy Grail.
